Blast From the Past

Stop laughing! :) This is a picture from 1994, and from left to right is Kim, myself and Anne. We used to hit the Comedy Stop at the Trop regularly back then, and this is from one of those nights. Notice all the alcohol there in front of us! Nothing unusual for us back then. These girls were my partners in crime; we kept each other out of trouble and very often got ourselves into trouble. How do you like my perm? LOL Ahhh... the 90's. I just noticed while posting this how damn pale I am. Holy cow I'm a white girl!

I am sharing this funny picture because today is Anne's 40th birthday. She moved to Los Angeles almost two years ago and we sure miss her - her husband is bringing her here tomorrow for a surprise birthday party (she doesn't read my blog, so the secret is safe). This is going to be great!

I hope you all have an absolutely wonderful weekend.

I just love the pic-- those were the days, eh?

I wish a very Happy Birthday to Anne and hope you all have a great time at the party. Try not to get into too much trouble.

Now I see why your daughter is so adorable - she looks like you. Really, you look great in that pic. We all had permed hair in '94 didn't we? It's great to have good friends like Anne and Kim!

That's a GREAT picture. It is always fun to look and see how we've progressed through the years.

I hope you have a great weekend! You should go back to the comedy stop at the trop for old time sake.

Nothing is wrong with being a 'white girl' but it is funny seeing you with the perm. I think you lost that by the time I met ya. B) Very cool that you get to spend Anne's 40th with her.

Nik: Thanks! So I have to ask about this new avatar of yours... there has to be a story about it.

Beckeye: No kidding. and BIG hair at that.

Barbara: You are so kind, thank you! Madison does look almost like an exact replica of me at her age.

Matt: We definitely got the big screaming "Surprise!"

Amy: You DO have hair like that. Well, nice and curly, but not all fluffy.

Ken: Thanks! It is funny to look back at where you've been.

Teri: It would have been a great idea to get back to a comedy club to celebrate. Kim and myself both having toddlers turned it into a daytime family event this time, but perhaps next time Anne's in town we can make some real plans.

Martin: I thought you might get a chuckle in that perm. Thankfully it was long gone by the time I met you a couple of years later. :)

Fred: I laugh every time I see that picture, we've all changed so much.

Ahhhh...feathered hair and huge bangs, those were the days!

Have fun this weekend. Can't wait to hear all about the fun birthday festivities!

Hey! We should all go to Comedy at the Trop before they implode it. Thursdays are locals' night -- buy one get one. For $20 you get a show and a drink, and the 8:00 show is non-smoking! My understanding is that they are only taking reservations at that hotel through June. Maybe we should do a big "gathering". Just a thought.

Big hair! Cool! I looked exactly like Napolean D when I was that age, so I'm not laughin'.
