End of the Week Catch-up

Where do I start? Okay. The trivial stuff first.

I actually got addicted to 'Tommy Lee Goes to College'. I'm almost ashamed to admit it - I scoff at most reality shows like this. I'm actually surprised at how easy-going he is. Is that due to a lot of editing? I hope not, I'd like to believe he's really that cool.

Speaking of reality shows - 'Rockstar: INXS' is just getting better every week. I still haven't set the odds on the winner - although I'm leaning toward Mig. Jordis is definitely my favorite voice, but as lead of INXS? I'm not sure. Mig seems to make a good fit overall in my mind. I started out not liking Marty - he is a little manic, but he's growing on me. Every time I look at him I think of Scott Weiland, who I think is very talented despite his messy personal life. Their facial expressions and mannerisms are so similar!

Madison starts daycare part time on Monday. We've taken her to visit a few times in the last two weeks - we wanted her to feel comfortable on her first full day and have a chance to get to know the staff. She is going to be just fine - she's excited about the other kids and all the things they have there to do. She is very social and felt right at home quickly. Her parents, on the other hand, are wrecks. I think we'll get through the first week or two and be just fine too. I still very comfortable in the choice I made with this place, it's just a big change. As parents, you want what's best, and you take leaps of faith hoping you've made the right decision.

I'll be knee-deep in bleach products for the next couple of days - it's house scouring weekend. You're jealous, aren't you.

TV what is that? I have been so busy that I haven't been able to watch INXS in a long time. I am not to sure about Tommy Lee though. Go with your instinct on the daycare, if Madison is comfortable there that should give you some solice. Is this one of the places where you can watch them on you computer or anything like that? I am sure that it will all work out just fine..except expect her to have quite a few colds from the start.

You too? We've set aside time this weekend that the kids will be home, and we're going to clean every inch of this house.

Misery loves company.

I am cleaning my mom's house, does that count?

Teri: I'm sorry you're too busy to enjoy some veg time in front of the ol' tube. Hopefully that passes soon. From your update, looks like you're getting there. No, unfortunately they don't have webcams. One I did like that has them wouldn't take her part time before age 2. I know she's going to get sick more... can you believe she's NEVER had a cold? I've had several, but used the waterless hand cleaner like crazy. Ask Amy - I'm such a germaphobe. (Is that even a word?) I'm not looking forward to that part.

Fred: Misery does love company! At least I have only ONE pet to clean up after. :)

Amy: Yup, that definitely counts. Hope you are somehow enjoying yourself this weekend?

Moose: I'm so glad someone else out there watches it... everyone else looks at me like I've lost it. Thanks for the luck. Hopefully we won't need it.

I'm starting to think that Jordis is a little to jazzy for INXS. The band (Andrew and Jon Farris) noticed it in the studio. She tends to work her way around and bend notes instead of following a pre-written melody. It might be great for a solo career but I don't see it working with the band (especially when they have an idea of what they want to hear melodically.) Marty is great if he lets go of the notion that he has to be intense (and yes he reminds me of Scott Weiland when I see him sing.) Mig is right now my frontrunner with Susie looking better every day. J.D. is talented at writing but doesn't show the work ethic ("I don't rehearse") necessary to inspire the band. Ty sounds great but he's too forceful and dramatic.

I need to do some cleaning myself. Today is going to be busy. hahaha
