Catch Up

I am up before everyone else this morning, listening to the rain... It's almost 7 am and it's still dark as hell in the house. I love this!

Caught up on two movies. The first was The Notebook. I sobbed like a baby within the first half hour, and cried pretty much throughout the rest of the movie. Yes, a total chick-flick. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of chick-flicks. My collection of movies has a very very small percentage of love-stories. This one was pretty damn good. Ryan Gosling was perfect for the character of Noah. Absolutely perfect.

The second was Be Cool, the sequel to Get Shorty. I'm a huge John Travolta fan; he's great in every movie he's in, even if the movie sucks. Get Shorty was hilarious... and I really wish I'd watched it again before seeing this movie, there were a lot of references to the first one that I didn't quite remember. Be Cool was funny, and I loved the ensemble cast. It just wasn't quite as good as the first. Vince Vaughn was seriously irritating throughout the film, I wish more of him would have end up on the cutting room floor.

I put a new wireless router in the house. Linksys is getting smarter for the home user. It sets up a security key by default now, whereas before you had to get into the router administration to set that up. I like that. The old router wouldn't let Karl's laptop through wirelessly, but would if I used a network cable. After spending a couple of hours troubleshooting, I called Linksys - they couldn't figure it out either. No biggie, it was only wireless-B anyway, time to upgrade.

I have family here from Minneapolis, they're coming by today to see Madison. Have a fabulous Sunday, all!

My daughter has watched The Notebook on DVD at least 100 times. No kidding. And, she cries every time. Women!

Have a good weekend.

I loved waking up to the sound of rain this morning as well.

I read the book the notebook, but I haven't seen the movie. I cried as I read it. I think that is the reason why I do not want to watch the movie.

Hope you have a wonderful lazy Sunday!

The rain was wonderful over the weekend. The humidity today sucks as do chick flicks. Smile.

I also enjoy the sound and smell of rain especially if it is dark out. It has a mysterious element that just does something for me. Never been big on Travolta... dunno why. I think he's in a little group of actors that don't reel me into a film. I'll make sure The Notebook is on my list of films to ummm maybe see when no one is watching. B) Cool to see that you have family coming in to see the princess. She is much loved.
