There's Still a Teenager in Here

I admit it. Every year I watch the Mtv Movie Awards and the Mtv Music Video Awards. I look forward to them! I set my DVR to record it and when all is quiet in the house I get my popcorn and a good beer and settle in to watch it uninterrupted. None of my peers seem to watch anything on Mtv anymore...or are they just not admitting to it? I feel like this is something from my youth that I'm trying desperately to hold on to. Hell I watch Real World if there's nothing else on, and I even have all the Mtv/VH1 channels in my favorites (much to Karl's disappointment - we do not share a love of music).

You know you're old when... Mtv does a tribute to a movie from your childhood. I was surprised at the tribute to Breakfast Club but only because it made me feel old. Yellowcard did a performance of "Don't You (Forget About Me)" which I think they slaughtered. It was disappointing to not see Judd Nelson or Emilio Estevez - apparently Judd showed up and then ducked out when he realized Emilio wasn't there. Molly Ringwald looks great, I don't remember her having boobs that big, are they real? I thought the tribute was interesting and it was nice to see the cast that weren't too stuck up to show.

She did the implant thing several years ago. Don't ask me how I remember this. hahaha

The sad sick part of all of this is that I remember my parents getting cable tv. I was so excited because I got to watch MTV. Now I just bypass that channel as soon as my remote hits it. I guess I am just too old.
